Amino acids are the building blocks of cells which can do work and the enzymes of our body. They also have other functions as well. The key is to integrate your understanding of acid/base, acid FG, Ester FG, Amine FG, Amide FG, thio FG, attractive forces and water solubility into the study of proteins and their building block amino acids.
